The watch can handle dust, water, and shock, so it can take on just about anything you throw at it and still communicate if things get bad. It’s also tough to accidentally dial. You need to press the large orange button five times to activate the GetMe function that sends your coordinates to four pre-selected contacts. Press the same button eight times to engage RescueMe and the closest emergency services will get the alert. If you hold the button down for a full 10 seconds, it provides tracking. The O-Boy is just the kind of peace of mind you need if all else fails.

You will need a subscription to take advantage of the O-Boy's rescue alert features. You can also pre-order the watch now through its KickStarter page for with the option of having activation included. The campaign has already met its funding goal and actually exceeded it by almost $27,000, so if you order the watch, you can expect to receive it sometime this year.
