Things to do in St.Tropez
St. Tropez is not just a lotion to get the perfect self-tan. It is a town located along the French Riviera – the place to see and to be seen. Ever since Brigitte Bardot, a French actress, starred in the film And God Created Women, St. Tropez went from a quiet village to Hollywood’s summer destination. So what do A-list Hollywood actors and all the other tourists actually do in this glamorous town?
The Vieux Port
The Vieux Port is considered the city center of St. Tropez. If you are planning to go yachting in St. Tropez, you are likely to be walking down this port. Aside from the yacht marina, there are a bunch of lavish waterfront cafes and seafood restaurants to check out. Even just sitting in the harbor is a treat for those who like to just people-watch.
Beaches
There is definitely a reason why celebrities choose St. Tropez beaches as their vacation sanctuary. Along with the beautiful turquoise waters, the beaches are known to be less touristy than other well-known beaches. Be able to bask in the sun, while not having to worry about it being overcrowded and noisy.
Yachting
Did you even go to St. Tropez if you weren’t on a yacht?! You don’t have to own a boat to enjoy a yachting experience in St. Tropez. You can rent one for a day and explore the waters while evening out your tan. If you are more interested in seeing more touristy sites, a boat excursion will show you around to the Maritime Museum, the Citadelle, and maybe some celebrities’ villas.
Musee de l’Annonciade
St. Tropez isn’t just all boats and beaches. Enrich your mind at the Musee de l’Annonciade. This museum houses an impressive collection of post-impressionists paintings, including Matisse. Not only are the views magnificent from the inside, but also the outside - with an amazing view over the port.
St. Tropez may be small, but it is packed with so much to do. From chilling at the beach to trying gourmet foods at one of the restaurants along the Vieux Port, your vacation is sure to be jam-packed with activities.
