Top 4 Newest Restaurants in LA

December 22, 2021

Keeping up with all the new dining establishments in Los Angeles is pretty much a full-time job. When you’re planning on staying in the city for Super Bowl 2022, and you want to try a fresh new dining experience, you’ll need to know which restaurants are hits when it comes to important things like great food, ambiance, impeccable service and a varied menu. When you are searching for the most amazing home in which to stay when you are in LA, we have an exemplary number from which you can choose. For instance, Villa Magda in the Hollywood Hills is brimming with all the glitz and glamor of LA – with a view unlike any other!

Dining is an important consideration

Many high-end travelers want to know something about the dining scene of a destination to which they’re considering traveling. In 2019, there were more than 29,000 restaurants in Los Angeles – a city of 4 million residents. Twenty-four of those eateries have been awarded one or more prestigious Michelin Stars. However, there is something to be said for finding a fledgling establishment that meets your every dining desire. Perhaps one of these four might be that place!

Belles Beach House

Prime tables are already difficult to get at this newer eatery in popular Venice Beach. You’re met with a breezy beach vibe in what feels like an oversized, weathered Tiki hut on the shores of Hawaii. You’ll feel instantly at home and relaxed, yet there is an air of class and sophistication at Belles. Dine alfresco on dishes with a Japanese influence such as a spicy salmon taco with yuzu kosho mayo or the sushi platter complete with sashimi, nigiri, and cut rolls. Wash everything down with a craft beer, or a shaken cocktail specialty like the Breakwater – gin, lime, watermelon, ginger, elderflower, and cucumber.

Bicyclette Bistro

A menu inspired by the best Parisian eateries, Bicyclette is the love child of Chefs Walter and Margarita Manzke. They have taken fresh, California ingredients and have lovingly created taste-bud tantalizing fare. Their bouillabaisse – fashioned from striped bass, mussels, clams and prawns – is a gift for the palate. You can’t go wrong following it up with beef short rib a la Bourguignonne with potato mousseline. They also have some very inventive cocktails. You might want to try Hats Off to the Bull made with manzanilla, amontillado, muscatel, Spanish brandy, passion fruit, red bell pepper and citrus. Bicyclette has a very well-stocked bar, so chances are high you’ll be able to sip on whatever you may be fancying. You will actually feel like you are enjoying your dinner in a quaint bistro on the Champs Elysees! Quaint is a wonderful description when it comes to a romantic eatery, but not for a place you are calling home while on vacation. Opulent is more like it and that is what you will have in spades when you choose to stay at Villa Naina with its contemporary refinement.

Craft Los Angeles

Craft is understated elegance at its best. Your wine glass will always be full and you’ll be sent home like you were at grandma’s house – with little baked treats that will make you smile. Many a business deal has been inked at the bar here between shots of bourbon and gin tonics. But, let’s not forget the food. You will likely have the best steak of your life at Craft, but also consider other options like quail and cheddar grits; rigatoni with Italian sausage and green garlic; or diver scallops and vermouth butter. A must-have dessert is the warm chocolate tart with black date ice cream. Your palate will do a happy dance to thank you.

Girl & the Goat

The Los Angeles Arts District is now the second home to one of Chicago’s best restaurants – Girl & the Goat. Chef Stephanie Izard, the first female winner on the television show, Top Chef, has recently opened her Windy City flagship eatery to a hot LA welcome. Izard and her team use California produce to create dishes with bold flavors like goat curry, duck tartare with gochujang mayo, and grilled whole branzino. Favorites include tender pork belly salad and pan-seared opah. The restaurant’s interior is as bold as its fare with exposed red brick, rattan chairs, floor-to-ceiling windows and house plants hanging over bleached wood tables where you’ll enjoy a family-style meal.
