Fort Lauderdale, Florida has been dubbed the yachting capital of the world, so it makes sense the city is home to one of the most popular boat shows in the United States.
Mark October 26-30, 2022 on your calendar to attend the iconic Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) taking place at Bahia Mar. The event showcases a vast array of the industry’s latest boats and yachts of all sizes, worldwide debuts and a medley of marine products and accessories to enhance the nautical lifestyle. From yacht builders and designers to exotic cars and brokerage yachts, the show will have something that most certainly will interest you.
Here are some things you might plan on taking in while at FLIBS:
Superyacht Village
Superyacht Village is an exclusive marina featuring some of the most spectacular yachts in the show, with some vessels measuring up to 300 feet in length. The enclave for superyachts and superyacht enthusiasts, Superyacht Village is an exclusive marina featuring some of the most spectacular yachts in the show. This village will be located at Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina’s new “Pier South” property, adjacent to the southeast corner of the 17th Street Causeway Bridge – the gateway to FLIBS.
Get Some Fun in with the Aquazone Experience
This year’s Aquazone at FLIBS is primed to be bigger and better than ever before. Here, you’ll be able to have an up close and personal experience with some water sports toys and innovative marine products. Some of the cools things to try are:
- Seabob jet powered water sleds;
- Sipa electric paddleboards;
- Yujet electric surfboards;
- HydroFlyer electric foil boards;

Seminars
For the duration of the show, you will have the opportunity of attending a number of wonderful seminars. Some include:

Best of Show Award
The Best of Show award is given to innovative debut boat models on display at FLIBS embodying various elements, including performance, design, technology, and architecture. FLIBS and the Best of Show award presentation will be featured on its own one-hour special to showcase the largest in-water boat show and some of the latest vessels leading the way in innovative design. Winner of the award last year was The Ocean Alexander 35R.
